Trial of breast density notification at some BreastScreen Queensland locations

From September 2023 for up to a year, there will be a research study happening at some BreastScreen Queensland locations. This randomised controlled trial on the psychosocial and health service impacts of breast density notification is being undertaken by BreastScreen Queensland in partnership with The University of Sydney. Some clients who consent to participate in the trial will be provided with information about breast density and advised to contact their GP if they have any questions.

The trial is being funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
