Preparation on the day

  • Please don't wear talcum powder or deodorant on the day of your appointment as it may affect your breastscreen
  • Wear a two-piece outfit as you will be required to remove your bra and top during the breastscreen.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early prior to your appointment time to process your paperwork.

Stay at home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Please call BreastScreen Queensland on 13 20 50 to cancel or reschedule your breast screening appointment.

If you are feeling well, it is important that you continue to access your usual health services, including breast screening if you are due.
