All BreastScreen Queensland Services are nationally accredited.

This accreditation is determined by the Commonwealth Government and requires BreastScreen Queensland to comply with rigorous national standards and protocols that address all aspects of the program, including clinical practice, program management, quality controls, staff training and customer service.

The national standards and protocols are evidence based and are consistent with international breast cancer screening practice. In short, they are designed to ensure you are receiving a high-quality service.

A national report of the program's performance is released every year by the Australian Institute of Health and Wellbeing.

Stay at home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Please call BreastScreen Queensland on 13 20 50 to cancel or reschedule your breast screening appointment.

If you are feeling well, it is important that you continue to access your usual health services, including breast screening if you are due.
