| The Queensland Government requires all departments to produce an annual Multicultural Action Plan to implement the Government's 2005 Multicultural Queensland Making a World of Difference Policy.
Queensland Health produced and implemented annual action plans in 2005/06 and 2006/07. In 2007, Queensland Health developed a five year strategic plan, evidence of its commitment to improving the health of people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The 2007-2012 Queensland Health Strategic Plan for Multicultural Health includes five year strategies that together will improve the health of multicultural communities. The plan includes actions to be taken in 2007/08 against each strategy. A report on implementation of the 2008/09 actions is available. The 2009/10 implementation plan was published in July 2009 and is currently being implemented. |
