An interpreter deals with the spoken word. A translator deals with written text. |
It is Queensland Government policy to use whenever possible, accredited interpreters. Interpreters become accredited by either passing an exam set by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) or completing a NAATI-recognised tertiary course.
